LONDON TRAIN TO TEACH RECRUITMENT FAIR, TUESDAY 1 OCTOBER 2019 DROP IN 5.00-8.00PM

We are hosting a Train to Teach recruitment fair for both primary and secondary on 1st October 2019. We have invited other teaching school alliances and universities to join us and together we cover north, west and south London .

Each provider will have a stall and you can learn about their vacancies and the schools that you could train in.

Providers who have already signed up to attend include:

Ourselves - The West London Teaching School Alliance; The Royal Borough Teaching School Alliance; Ealing Primary Teaching School Alliance; Kingston Teaching School Alliance; New River Teaching School Alliance; Pimlico London SCITT; Teach Wimbledon; St Mary's University, Twickenham; and Roehampton University.

There will be a presentation (and opportunity to ask questions) at 5.10pm for approx. 45 minutes and this will then be repeated at 6.20pm.  The presentation will explain the significance of different teacher training qualifications and different types of teacher training provider and courses.  You will also learn about how the funding works on both salaried and unsalaried courses; entry requirements (including what to do if you have overseas qualifications); and how the UCAS application system works.  Top tips will be provided on how to secure a place.

WLTSA INFORMATION SESSIONS

We run a series of information sessions throughout the academic year.  These includes a  presentation explaining the significance of the different qualifications and of different types of teacher training provider; how to search for courses; entry requirements, finance and top tips on making a successful application.

We can also answer queries and talk you through our vacancy list, advising you about your best options.  There is absolutely no requirement for you to attend this session - we just want to be available to explain how it all works and to answer questions if you have them.

The information sessions are held every two weeks at Sacred Heart High School,  212 Hammersmith Road London W6 7DG.

Tuesday 17 September 2019 8.00am - 9.15am

(dates for the remainder of the year will be updated here in mid Sept. 2019)

If you would like to attend one of these sessions, please book your place by emailing Pippa Currey on: pcurrey@sacredh.lbhf.sch.uk

PARTNER SCHOOL VISITS

For anyone interested in a programme here at Sacred Heart there will be an opportunity for a tour at the end of each two weekly information session referred to above.

If you are particularly keen to visit one of our other partner host schools, do feel free to call them directly and ask to pop in. It is important that you make clear that you are considering applying for one of their teacher training programmes and it is helpful if you have read the course information before asking to visit.

You can alternatively email, Pippa Currey (Primary) or Alex Dijkhuis (Secondary) specifying which course you are interested in, what degree you have and which school you would like to visit.  We will do our best to help action this.
