Training to become an NPQ Facilitator

We hope to repeat NPQ facilitator training in collaboration with UCL in Sept 2018.

All training, course materials and support are provided to facilitators by the UCL and this will enable facilitators to not only deliver sessions within the WLTSA cluster but also at UCL (Institute of Education) if they wished to extend their practice.

As a very general guide, we anticipate that those interested in delivering the NPQML would need to be at least senior middle leaders/assistant head teachers or deputy head teachers.  Those wishing to deliver NPQSL would need to be headteachers or experienced deputies, but see below for further guidance on the selection criteria.

Facilitators receive payments for the sessions that they deliver.  We currently await confirmation of these payments for 2018-19 but as a guide, we anticipate these to be approx £350 for the delivery of each session (9.30-4.30pm).  Facilitators need not be limited by WLTSA cluster dates but could also opt to deliver sessions at UCL.

If you are interested in becoming a facilitator please email: Director@wltsa.org.uk

There would be a short application form to complete.

Last year’s application form and selection criteria are linked below for information. We do not anticipate these to change when we re-run training but this will be confirmed in due course.
