Catholic Division

The WLTSA has a distinct division which focuses on particular issues relevant to Catholic Schools.

We have established close links with the Diocese of Westminster and St Mary’s University and are members of the Centre for Research and Development in Catholic Education at the Institute of Education.

We aim to:

  • Attract Catholic graduates into teaching using our ‘Called to Teach’ initiative.
  • Provide a focussed leadership programme ‘Shepherding Talent’ for those aspiring to senior leadership in Catholic schools.  We run this in collaboration with Professor John Lydon from St Mary’s University, see full details here
  • Deliver CCRS for Catholic teachers – we have a hub for this established at Lamenier & Sacred Heart RC Primary School. More details about booking for the CCRS will be included here shortly.
